Statement by the Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, Secretary of State – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Saudabayev at the “International Conference on Afghanistan” (London, January 28, 2010)

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev delivered a state-of-the-nation address 'A New Decade, a New Economic Growth, and New Opportunities for Kazakhstan' on January 29, outlining his vision of the country's development up to the year 2020.

In a video-taped address the head of state outlined major approaches to the OSCE activities, unveiled its motto and priorities for Kazakhstan’s OSCE Chairmanship. Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted that Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe would be guided by trust, tradition, transparency and tolerance.

Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State - Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev discussed prospects of further strengthening the Kazakh-British cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats in a January 8 telephone conversation with Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Astana, December 2nd: The Foreign Investors’ Council (FIC) takes place on December 4th, 2009 in Astana’s Palace of Independence under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Astana, December 1st:- At the 17th OSCE Ministerial Council in Athens today, Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State and Foreign Minister, Kanat Saudabayev said that Kazakhstan is "fully committed to bringing a worthy contribution to strengthening and developing the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe" during its Chairmanship of the Organization next year.
