This exhibition focuses on Kazakh craftswomen living in the Altai Mountains of western Mongolia and their textiles. On display will be Kazakh textiles, and photographic and video material from the area. A furnished yurt will show the home environment for which these textiles are made and which in turn works as a source of inspiration for craftswomen

Kazakhstan Growth Forum 2009

The fourth annual international conference “Kazakhstan Growth Forum”, organized by Adam Smith Conferences and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in London, took place on 17-19 June 2009 in London.

The official opening ceremony of the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce (KBCC) was held on the first day of the Forum. In his message to the participants of the Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr Karim Massimov has agreed to take the KBCC under his patronage.

ANNIVERSARY OF DECISION TO STOP NUCLEAR TEST AT THE SEMIPALATINSK NUCLEAR POLYGON

EBRD ANNUAL MEETING 2009

Kazakh delegation headed by the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Mr. Bolat Zhamishev participated at the the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which was held on 15-16 May 2009 in London.

In May 2011 Annual Meeting of the Board of the Governors of the EBRD will be held in Kazakhstan.

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is open from Monday to Friday (except Wednesdays) between 09.00 and 12.00 for visa and legalisation matters and on Wednesdays between 09.00 and 12.00 for civil matters.
