Holidays and weekends in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2011 year

Holidays and Weekends, celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan:

NATIONAL HOLIDAY:

Independence Day – December, 16-17;

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS:

* New Year – January, 1- 2;

* International Women’s Day – March,8;

* Nauryz meiramy – March, 2 1- 23;

* Holiday of the Unity of the people of Kazakhstan –  May, 1;

* Victory Day – May,  9;

* Day of Capital – July, 6;

* Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan – August, 30.

In this connection, at drawing up of balance of working hours in 2011 taking into account norms of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan", holidays coinciding with weekends (Saturday, Sunday) moved on the next after holiday, working day:

at five-days week:

* from January,1 to January,3;

* from January,2 to January, 4;

* from May, 1 to May, 2;

* from December, 17 to December, 19;

at six-days week:

* from January, 2 to January, 3;

* from May, 1 to May, 2.

According to the Paragraph 96 of the Code at five-day and six-day working week common weekend is Sunday. The second weekend at five-day working week is established by the act of the employer or schedule shift. Both weekend days are given successively if other isn't established by collective, labor agreements.

The first day of Kurban-Eid, celebrated by the Muslim calendar, January 7 - Orthodox Christmas Day are public holidays. In 2011, the first day of Kurban-Eid falls on November 6.
